Course Outline

Water is one of the most important materials on earth, and it is critical for human survival. A reliable drinking water supply is essential for public health. Throughout history, a polluted water supply has afflicted numerous populations. The water supply needs to be regularly checked and treated for disease-causing germs and chemical pollutants. This course focuses on drinking water and the public drinking water systems of the United States. Although the material is written for the state of Alaska, this knowledge can be applied to any state.
