Course Outline
Concrete is the single most widely used material in the world. This course provides a brief history of cement and concrete along with the milestones of important developments in the concrete industry. It covers basic concepts such as concrete mixture, water-cement ratio, slump, air entrainment, and reinforcement. In addition, industry trends in cement consumption and concrete usage in pavement, bridges, and buildings are discussed.
At the end of this course, there will be a multiple-choice, open-book quiz designed to enhance your understanding of the course material.
