This course provides a brief history of cement and concrete along with the milestones of important developments in the concrete industry. It covers basic concepts such as concrete mixture, water-cement ratio, slump, air entrainment, and reinforcement. In addition, industry trends in cement consumption and concrete usage in pavement, bridges, and buildings are discussed.
