- Course Number: C1037T
- Credits: 2 hours
- Instructor: Ellen Huang, PE
- Price: $20
Course Outline
Roller-compacted concrete (RCC) as a paved surface
offers facility owners and pavement designers a concrete
pavement alternative that may better meet the
requirements of specific pavement projects than
conventionally cast-in-place concrete pavements. This course covers the important design and construction considerations for RCC, examines the composition of RCC mixture, and describes RCC pavement applications, particularly those associated with roadway projects within the residential, commercial, and urban roadway sectors. Some frequently asked questions are also included.
At the end of this course, there will be a multiple-choice, open-book quiz, which is designed to enhance your understanding of the course material.

At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
- Know the difference between roller-compacted concrete and conventionally placed concrete;
- Understand the design considerations of RCC;
