Fiber optic cables are the backbone of today’s communications networks. This course introduces the history, core concepts, and practical applications of fiber optics. Participants will learn how optical fiber transmits light, how modern fiber networks evolved, and how fibers, cables, splices, and connectors are selected, installed, and tested for reliable real-world performance.
At the end of this course, there will be a multiple-choice, open-book quiz designed to enhance your understanding of the course material.
