Introduction to Fall Protection (Timed & Monitored)

Course Outline

In the U.S., construction typically accounts for just under 200,000 serious injuries and roughly 1,200 deaths each year. Nearly 1/3 of construction fatalities result from falls. This course covers the OSHA Fall Protection Standards and an overview of fall protection methods. Course topics include the selection of an appropriate type of fall protection system, components and limitations of fall arrest systems, and equipment inspection and maintenance. In addition, the course material contains measures to prevent slips and trips on construction sites.

At the end of this course, there will be a multiple-choice, open-book quiz designed to enhance your understanding of the course material.
