Fundamentals of Engineering Mechanics (Timed & Monitored)
- Course Number: G1013T
- Credits: 4 hours
- Instructor: Ellen Huang, PE
- Price: $40
Course Outline
This course will provide engineers a review of the fundamental classic physics related to unit systems, vector operations, and force and motion. This is also the first part of the two physics review courses. Please refer to Physics for Professional Engineers II for further knowledge of application of Newton’s laws and energy, work and power.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
- Unit Systems - Fundamental Dimensions and Unit Conversions
- Vectors - Scalar and Vector Quantities, Vector Identification, Vectors: Resultants and Components, and Graphic Method of Vector Addition
- Force and Motion - Newton's Law of Motion and Momentum Principles
