Technical Visualization Using Google Earth Pro and Nano Banana
- Course Number: G1043
- Credits: 3 hours
- Instructor: Ellen Huang, PE
- Price: $30
Course Outline
This course teaches AEC professionals how to create clear, location-based technical visuals using Google Earth Pro and Nano Banana AI. Participants learn to capture geospatial context (imagery, terrain, 3D buildings, historical views, Street View), extract coordinates and basic measurements, and convert screenshots into clean diagrams, CAD-style linework, annotated infographics, and incident/storyboard visuals for early-stage design and communication.
At the end of this course, there will be a multiple-choice, open-book quiz designed to enhance your understanding of the course material.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
- Be able to use Google Earth Pro to navigate, manage layers, and capture high-quality exports with coordinates, scale, and orientation for technical communication.
- Be able to apply historical imagery, Street View, and measurement tools to support preliminary site understanding and defensible visual context.
- Be able to use Nano Banana with coordinates and screenshots to generate/edit technical visuals, including cleanup, annotation, stylization, and CAD-style linework suitable for vectorization.
- Be able to produce application-ready visuals for civil site sheets, technical infographics, UI concept communication, and incident visualization storyboards.
