This course equips engineers and technical leaders to effectively navigate critical dilemmas where safety, integrity, and business pressures intersect. Drawing on landmark cases (such as the Challenger disaster and Love Canal) and international contexts, the course covers universal moral standards, professional responsibility, codes of ethics, and compliance frameworks such as the FCPA. You’ll practice structured decision-making across engineering, management, and business settings, emphasizing public welfare, risk, conflicts of interest, and organizational culture.
At the end of this course, there will be a multiple-choice, open-book quiz, which is designed to enhance your understanding of the course material.
