- Credits: 2 hours
- Instructor: Ellen Huang, PE
- Price: $160
Course Outline
The Challenger Explosion was NASA's darkest tragedy, which killed its seven crew members just 73 seconds after its launch. While the most commonly referenced explanation for what went wrong focuses on the erosion of the O-rings, an examination of the decision process that led to the launch in low temperatures reveals a much more complicated, and troubling, picture. In this webinar, we will provide an overview of the U.S. space shuttle program, examine the events prior to the fatal launch of the Challenger, and learn the ethical lessons from the engineers who were involved in this tragic event.
At the end of this course, there will be a multiple-choice, open-book quiz designed to enhance your understanding of the course material.
