Course Outline
The course fulfills Nevada’s 1-hour requirement on state engineering laws and rules and reviews how professional engineers and land surveyors must stay current with NRS/NAC provisions. It covers licensure and practice restrictions, unprofessional conduct and disciplinary actions, document sealing and responsible charge, public safety obligations, and the state’s continuing-education requirements (including ethics and laws/rules hours).
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
- Become familiar with Nevada Board laws and rules;
- Be able to identify behaviors that constitute unprofessional conduct;
- Understand Nevada’s mandatory continuing education requirements; and
- Recognize the roles and responsibilities of professional engineers and land surveyors.
